This website is the property of the Iberostar Group. Pursuant to the provisions of Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11th July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, the owner of this website is Balear de Inversiones Financieras, S.L., with registered business address at Calle General Riera, 154 Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, SPAIN, holder of Spanish Tax ID No. (CIF) B07153901, listed on sheet PM-8822, page 189, volume 991 of the Palma de Majorca Companies Register.

2. Privacy policy for the Iberostar Group’s Employee Portal (Star Team)
This Privacy Policy applies to users of the Iberostar Group’s Employee Portal (Star Team). This portal provides Iberostar Group employees with access to general corporate information and their employment details. Interested parties may also carry out various procedures directly online, such as registering with the Iberostar Talent platform in order to participate in Iberostar Group’s internal vacancies system and talent management programme. Please read this privacy policy carefully as it contains important information about the processing of your personal data and your rights pursuant to the corresponding legislation in force.
This policy has been published at Star Team.
We reserve the right to update our privacy policy at any time for reasons of corporate decisions, or to comply with any possible changes to legislation or legal precedents.
If you have any queries or require clarification on any points regarding our Privacy Policy or your rights, you may contact us via the channels indicated below.
You hereby declare that the data you provide, either now or in the future, are correct and truthful and undertake to inform us of any modifications thereto. If you provide personal data corresponding to third parties, you also agree to obtain the prior consent of the affected persons and to inform them of the contents of this policy.
2.1. Who is the controller of your data?
The controller responsible for processing the data of users of the Iberostar Group’s Employee Portal (Star Team) and the Iberostar Talent Platform (hereinafter referred to jointly as “the Platforms”) is Balear de Inversiones Financieras, S.L., whose registered business address is Calle General Riera 154, 07010 Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, SPAIN (hereinafter “the Iberostar Group”).
The controller responsible for processing the data of workers or candidates taking part in a selection process is the Iberostar Group company with which you have a have contractual or labour relation, or which has announced the selection process you are taking part in (hereinafter “the Company”).

2.2. Why do we process your data?
The data users provide via the forms included on the Platforms shall be processed for the purposes listed below, without prejudice, where appropriate, to any specific purposes stipulated in the information clauses or privacy policies explicitly applicable to these forms, under the responsibility of the Group company identified therein.
The Iberostar Group shall process the data provided by platform users for the following purposes:
-Monitoring and managing relations with registered users.
-Administering, managing and monitoring the aforementioned Platforms and their restricted access areas.
-Handling users’ queries and requests.
-Drawing up anonymous and joint statistics that enable us to measure and analyse platform activity in order to improve quality and functions.
-The data obtained via the Iberostar Talent platform shall be processed in order to draw up labour profiles that will be used to manage your professional skills, handle internal corporate selection processes (OLI) and your inclusion and participation in said procedures, as well as for employees’ corporate development, promotion and succession.
The Company shall process the data obtained via the platform for the following purposes:
-The data obtained via Star Team and generated by your labour relation with the Iberostar Group, such as your labour details, pay slip details, deductions certificates, etc. shall be processed for HR management purposes under the terms and conditions and for the reasons specified in the applicable HR privacy policy that you agreed to on joining the company or its later updated versions.
-The data obtained via the Iberostar Talent platform shall be processed to create a labour profile that will be used to manage your professional skills and competences; managing the company’s internal selection processes and your participation in them; as well as the development and promotion of company employees.
The data related to the Bulletin Board shall be used to manage this tool, and the name and surname of the person posting the advertisement shall be published on the Bulletin Board. The name, surname and email of Star Team users that reply to a publication shall be passed on to the advertiser via the email address registered with Star Team. In accordance with the terms and conditions listed in section 3 of this document, by taking part in these processes, you automatically give your consent to receive Bulletin Board notifications.
2.3. How long we will keep your data for?
As a general rule, Star Team users’ data will be kept for the duration of your relationship with the Iberostar Group, and in all cases, for the periods stipulated by the applicable legal provisions and for as long as necessary in order to respond to any possible liabilities resulting from the processing thereof. We shall dispose of your data when they are no longer pertinent or necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
HR data shall be kept in accordance with the criteria specified in the privacy policy users agreed to on joining the company or its later updated versions.
The data obtained via the Iberostar Talent platform shall be kept for as long as you remain a Group employee and do not request the termination of this relation. They shall be kept for a period of two years once your relation with the Group has ended, provided that you have not requested their erasure, for the purpose of your possible inclusion in future selection processes.
2.4. Legal grounds for processing
Processing carried out by the Iberostar Group is based on the following legal grounds:
-The legal grounds for processing platform users’ data is managing and monitoring the contractual relation arising from the use thereof and compliance with our legal obligations.
-The drawing up of platform use statistics is based on satisfying our legitimate interest in assessing the quality of our services.
-Creating a labour profile in order to manage Group workers’ professional skills and competences; managing corporate internal selection processes (OLI); and the corporate development, promotion and succession of employees, based on their wish to register on the Iberostar Talent platform and the Iberostar Group’s legitimate interest in processing their HR data for internal administrative purposes.
The processing carried out by the Company is based on the following legal grounds:
-Processing your labour data is based on the execution of the labour contract and compliance with the Company’s legal obligations, in particular those included in the following Spanish laws: the Workers’ Statute; the General Law on Social Security; the Law on the Prevention of Occupational Risks; the General Health Law and the accounting and taxation regulations in force, without prejudice to the application of other specific legal grounds included in the privacy policy for Group workers.
-Creating a labour profile in order to manage Group workers’ professional skills and competences; managing corporate internal selection processes (OLI); and the corporate development, promotion and succession of employees, based on their wish to register on the Iberostar Talent platform and the COMPANY’s legitimate interest in processing their HR data for internal administrative purposes.
THE IBEROSTAR GROUP and the COMPANY shall not adopt automated decisions based on labour profiles generated on the Iberostar Talent platform.
All other legal grounds for data processing that are not included in this privacy policy are stipulated in the information clauses or privacy policies applicable to the corresponding data collection forms.
You are hereby informed that as a general rule, the fields on forms that are marked compulsory must be completed in order to process your requests.
2.5. Who can we pass on your data to?
The data corresponding to users of the Iberostar Group Employee Portal (Star Team) shall only be passed on to third parties when necessary in order to process your requests, comply with our legal obligations or with the prior consent of the interested parties. Advertisers’ data shall be published on the Bulletin Board in accordance with the provision of section 3 of this document. The data of those persons that reply to an advertisement shall be passed on to advertisers via the Star Team inbox they are registered with.
Data generated by portal use that reflect the reading, reception or acceptance of labour instructions or notifications shall be passed on to the company using them in order to ensure the correct management of their Human Resource services.
Registering with the Iberostar Talent platform means that candidates’ CVs and labour profiles shall be passed on the Iberostar Group companies and hotels that operate in their country of residence and/or countries affected by the vacancies said candidates apply for. Their participation in the aforementioned selection processes will necessarily require the international transfer of their data when the companies referred to above are located outside the European Economic Area.
The results of the processes candidates have participated in shall be added to their profile in the Group’s job bank in order to update their records of participation in Group selection processes.
2.6. Your rights
You are entitled to obtain confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal data or not, and, where appropriate, access said data. You may likewise request the rectification of any incorrect data or the completion of incomplete data. You may also request their erasure when, amongst other reasons, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes they were collected.
Under certain circumstances, you may request the restricted processing of your data. In this case, we shall only process the affected data in order to lodge, apply or defend complaints or in order to protect the rights of others.
In certain cases, and for reasons related to your particular circumstances, you may also oppose the processing of your data. In this case, we shall cease processing your data, except for overriding legitimate reasons that prevail over your interests, rights or liberties, or in order to the lodge, exercise or defence of complaints.
You are likewise entitled to oppose the adoption of automated individual decision that have legal implications for you or similarly have a significant impact on you, when this right concurs in accordance with the provision of article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Furthermore, and under certain circumstances, you may request the portability of your data for transfer to another data controller.
You may revoke the consent you have granted for certain purposes, without affecting the legality of any processing based on the consent granted prior to revocation, and lodge a complaint before the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Specifically, you may at any time request unsubscription from the Iberostar Talent platform by sending written notification to this effect to rgpdrrhh@grupoiberostar.com.
To exercise your rights, you must send us a request by post or email to the addresses included in the section entitled 1. Who is the controller of your data? You must enclose or attach a copy of your national identity document, or other valid form of identification.
Further information regarding your rights and how to exercise them is available on the Spanish Data Protection Agency website at http://www.aepd.es/ and on the Group privacy portal at https://www.grupoiberostar.com/portal-privacidad.
2.7. Your obligations
As a platform user, you are required to use the services and contents which are provided solely and exclusively for professional purposes at all times in accordance with the instructions issued by the Iberostar Group, pursuant to the legislation in force, the principles of good faith and generally accepted use. You likewise undertake not to act on the website in any way that breaches public order. All illicit uses or that represent a direct attack either on the website or any third parties is therefore strictly forbidden.
Your credentials for accessing the Platforms are personal and confidential:

Provided that the system so allows, you must change your password the first time you connect thereto;

Never tell anyone your username and password;

Never write down your password; others may read and use it;

Remember to log off each time you leave the IT device you were using.
You are liable for all the actions you carry out on the portal as well as the actions of others that use your ID data.
Due to your status as a worker and for the purpose of carrying out the functions that are inherent to your post, you may use the Iberostar Group’s Employee Portal (Star Team) to access personal data processed by the Iberostar Group, as well as the other information generated by its activities. These files are subject to compliance with the provisions in force regarding personal data protection.
You hereby undertake to keep all personal data you have access to in the strictest confidentiality, even when your labour relation with the Group has terminated.
You likewise undertake to consult and comply with the Group policies, procedures and regulations applicable to you and that are available in the corresponding section on the Iberostar Group’s Employee Portal (Star Team).
Should failure to comply with these terms and conditions potentially endanger, with or without said danger taking effect, the Iberostar Group’s information system and in particular the personal data contained therein, the corresponding legal actions shall be taken to determine responsibilities.
3. Star Team Terms and Conditions of Use
3.1. Intellectual property and copyright
The website’s intellectual property rights, domain name, source code, design and browsing structure contained therein are the property of the aforementioned company, which holds the sole rights of exploitation thereof in all forms, and in particular the rights to reproduction, distribution, public release and transformation.
In compliance with Intellectual Property Law, the user undertakes to maintain the integrity of the work and to prevent any distortion, modification or alteration thereto that may damage its legitimate interests or harm its reputation. The user likewise undertakes not to reproduce, copy, distribute or publish the contents of this website without the written authorisation of the owner.
3.2. Bulletin Board Terms and Conditions of Use
3.2.1. Object
The Bulletin Board is included within the commitments assumed by the Iberostar Group in order to favour circularity and cooperation among employees.
The object of this section is to determine the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Bulletin Board (the Bulletin Board) of the Iberostar Group Employee Website Portal known as “Star Team”.
Use of this Bulletin Board implies specific and unconditional acceptance of this document. We therefore urge you to read these terms and conditions prior to publishing any advertisements on the Board, as Iberostar reserves the right to change, modify, add or erase these terms and conditions at any time.
3.2.2. Registration requirement
As a general rule, in order to access the Bulletin Board, users must be an employee of Iberostar or from the Group, and also duly registered with Star Team.
User access to the Bulletin Board via a Star Team account implies the specific acceptance of the Star Team and Bulletin Board General Terms and Conditions of Use, as well as its Privacy Policy.
3.2.3. Procedure for publishing advertisements
The Bulletin Board system consists of users posting advertisements. In order to do so, the user must fill in the “Publish Advertisement” form. On publishing an advertisement, the advertiser’s name and surname will be registered and published on the Bulletin Board. The advertiser will receive an email from Star Team including the data (name, surname and email address) of interested users that have replied to the advertisement. The user may access the Bulletin Board to renew or erase advertisements.
The advertisement will remain on display on the Bulletin Board for the period determined by the user, which may not be less than 15 days or longer than 60 days. If the user or Iberostar fail to withdraw the advertisement prior to the finalisation of this period, it shall be automatically erased. In order to republish the erased advertisement, or any other advertisements, the advertiser must fill in the “Publish Advertisement” form again.
Once the advertisement has been published, the user will receive notifications regarding published offers via the email address registered with Star Team. The user undertakes to erase the advertisement when the advertised service of product is no longer available.
3.2.4. Publication regulations
Below are the instructions for the correct use of the Bulletin Board:

All compulsory fields on the “Publish Advertisement” must be filled in.
-
All the stipulated categories and sections must be complied with (demand vs. offer).
-
Publishing and offering tourist accommodation services is not permitted.
-
No third party text and/or photos and images may be copied, processed or distributed without their prior authorisation.
-
Telephone numbers or email addresses must not be included anywhere outside the specifically stipulated fields for this information or URL in the name field on the “Publish Advertisement” field.
-
No advertisements may be published that are in breach of the law, morals, public order or that contravene Iberostar Group values.
-
In the case of advertisements valid for the whole of Spain, the location where the product or services are available must be specified.
-
No fictitious prices may be set in order to optimise search positioning.
-
No advertisements may be published to promote any business that may compete with Iberostar in any way.
3.2.5. Guarantees regarding the use of Bulletin Board
The Iberostar Group does not provide any guarantees regarding the goods and services posted on the Bulletin Board, including their functioning and/or characteristics. The user waives the right to undertake any legal or extrajudicial action, procedure or claim of any type, nature or description against the Iberostar Group. The user acknowledges and accepts that use of the contents and/or services offered via the Bulletin Board shall be at his/her sole risk and/or liability. The user undertakes to make use of the Bulletin Board, its contents and services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Use, the Privacy Policy and the Publication Regulations.
The user undertakes to use the Bulletin Board and its entire contents pursuant to the provisions of the law, morals, public order and these General Terms and Conditions of Use. Likewise, the user shall make appropriate use of the Bulletin Board contents, and shall not use them for activities that are illicit or may constitute an offence, infringe the rights of third persons and/or breach intellectual and industrial property rights, or any other legally applicable regulations.
The user undertakes not to transmit, upload, disseminate and make available to third persons, any types of material and information (data, contents, messages, drawings, sound and image files, photographs, software, etc.) that are in breach of the law, morals, public order and these General Terms and Conditions of Use. This includes, but under no circumstances is limited to, the following undertakings by the user:

Not to upload or disseminate contents or propaganda of a racist, xenophobic or pornographic nature, that advocate terrorism or attack human rights.

Not to enter or disseminate on the network data programs (viruses and malware) that may damage the IT systems of the access suppliers, their suppliers or third party Internet users.

Not to disseminate, pass on or make available to third parties any type of information, elements or contents that infringe fundamental rights and public liberties that have been acknowledged constitutionally and in international treaties.

Not to disseminate, pass on or make available to third parties any type of information, elements or contents that may constitute illicit or unfair competition.

Not to enter or disseminate any false, ambiguous or inaccurate information and contents that may mislead the recipients thereof.

Not to supplant other users by using their login details for the Bulletin Board’s various services and/or contents.

Not to disseminate, pass on or make available to third parties any type of information, elements or contents that may breach intellectual or industrial property rights, patents, trademarks or copyrights that may correspond to the Portal owners or third parties.

Not to disseminate, pass on or make available to third parties any type of information, elements or contents that may breach the communications secret and personal data legislation.

Not to include contents that indicate or encourage sexual, racial or religious discrimination or any other breach of the fundamental rights and liberties recognised by Spanish legislation; that may induce or incite illegal actions or may lead to erroneous conclusions due to inaccuracies, omissions or similar; that are false or outdated; that infringe legal regulations or rules regarding the secret of communications, intellectual property, the right to honour and personal privacy; or that include violent or degrading information, messages or products.
